Bridge Housing and Women’s Housing Company held the first Meet & Greet session with new tenants on the Northern Beaches today.

Some 60 tenants attended the session at the Warringah Library in Manly Vale to learn more about their new housing providers, who will begin managing the public housing properties from August 2019.

Bridge Housing and Women’s Housing Company won a competitive NSW Government tender in October 2017 to manage the 1,200 properties in the Northern Beaches and Mosman LGAs.

Representatives of the Department of Family and Community Services (FACS), and local support services also attended.

Tenants asked about how they will pay their rent, how repairs and maintenance will be handled, who their new landlord will be, and where the office will be located. A delicious lunch was provided as well as a lucky door prize.

Bridge Housing CEO John Nicolades said: “It was great to meet our new residents and to learn more about their concerns about making the transition to a community housing provider. We will be working closely with residents, support services and FACS to ensure the transition is as smooth and seamless as possible.”

The Meet and Greet today was the first of five to be held across the region over the next few months. Learn more about the other session times.
