HomeGround Real Estate Sydney is managing 13 fabulous new units in a modern complex in the heart of Leichhardt.

Seven of the units, which feature one bedroom plus study, have already been leased as affordable housing and a further six units will become available shortly.

The housing has been handed to not-for-profit real estate agency HomeGround Real Estate Sydney by Bridge Housing to manage on its behalf. Bridge Housing is committed to helping ease the housing affordability crisis in Sydney and to ending homelessness.

In 2017-18, Bridge Housing was successful in securing two NSW Government tenders to take ownership of the affordable housing units, which are located on Upward Street Leichhardt as part of a mixed residential development.

HomeGround Real Estate Sydney Licensee Manager Terry Livingstone said: “Quality, affordable new homes such as these in a much sought-after inner west suburb are rare. They are close to all facilities and have lovely community spaces. While there is no car parking available, they are very convenient to public transport.”

The new CEO of the Committee for Sydney, Gabriel Metcalf, toured the property with Bridge Housing yesterday to learn more about Sydney's housing affordability issues.
