HomeGround Real Estate Sydney has taken over management of 59 affordable housing dwellings from Bridge Housing to better align with the specialist focus of both organisations.

HomeGround Real Estate Sydney, a not-for-profit real estate agency wholly owned by Bridge Housing, specialises in working with affordable housing owners and tenants, while Bridge Housing operates principally in the social housing market.

Bridge Chief Operating Officer Rebecca Pinkstone said: “There will be no changes to the current negotiated management fees, how landlords receive their rental income, how maintenance requests are handled or how we report on program outcomes to landlords.

In fact, we believe that HomeGround will provide a better service to property owners due to its more responsive and personalised service.”

The homes are located in Bungarribee, near Blacktown (33), Bondi Junction (17), Strathfield (6) and Canterbury (3).

HomeGround Real Estate Sydney was launched in April 2018 to provide quality property and tenancy management services to landlords and tenants. As a social enterprise of Bridge Housing Limited, it retains Tier 1 community housing provider status and eligibility to manage properties developed under affordable housing schemes.

Other Bridge Housing-managed properties, including those managed under local government affordable housing schemes, will be transitioned shortly.
