North Housing Manager Frank Li spent 15 years in residential real estate before moving into the social housing sector.

He was working long hours in the Epping and Strathfield markets when a job opportunity arose with government: a more family-friendly employer with a social charter.

After a year with FACS (now the Department of Family and Community Services) as a Client Service Officer and in the rent review team at West Ryde, Bridge Housing took over management of the Northern Beaches public housing portfolio under the Social Housing Management Transfer Program

Frank was offered employment at our Brookvale office, a role he took up in August after a month’s orientation in the SHMT Transition Team in Goulburn St. “Bridge is really friendly. We all talk to each other and we help each other,” he said.

Frank’s weekends were never his own when he worked for a private real estate agency, so now he enjoys time with family and relaxing at weekends, like only those who’ve done shift work can possibly appreciate!
