Housing Support Officer Sasha McNaughton has worked on the Northern Beaches for nearly 20 years and lives nearby in the area.

So, the opportunity to stay in the same office and transition to Bridge Housing last year was one she jumped at. “I was aware of community housing because at FACS (now DCJ) we worked with LINK Housing in the area. “

“I now prefer working in the community housing sector because we really look after our clients and help to get them back into work, provide financial counselling for those who need it, and try to build a community through gardening groups and other activities.”

Sasha’s job has also changed for the better, as she gets the opportunity to interface with residents and other customers who come into or call the Brookvale reception.  “It’s a friendly. helpful, holistic approach at Bridge.”

Sasha works three days a week at Bridge Housing and does garden maintenance and landscaping on the other days. “I love the beach and the natural landscape of the Northern Beaches,” she said.
