Jess Turner is full of surprises. The Maintenance Officer, Assets in Central Office began her career studying a Bachelor of Accounting in hometown Melbourne then discovered accounting didn’t fulfil her as a “people person”. 

She followed her partner to Sydney and took up a temporary position with Bridge Housing 18 months ago, before landing a permanent role in the Assets Team. “I like the people, I like the culture and I like the work at Bridge. Even if you’re having a bad day, your colleagues always support you,” she said.

Diminutive Jess looks a most unlikely candidate for drag racing, but that’s her driving passion at weekends. She owns a drag racing car and recalls with relish reaching speeds of up to 315 kms per hour!
