Rebecca will step into the role from 5th October 2021, replacing current CEO John Nicolades, who tendered his resignation in June 2021 after leading Bridge Housing for 15 years.

Rebecca has been part of Bridge Housing’s executive management team since 2013, most recently as Chief Operations Officer. As part of this team, Rebecca has been instrumental in fostering a culture of innovation, growth and customer service to deliver impact for Bridge Housing tenants and applicants. Rebecca successfully led the Northern Beaches social housing management transfer process, growing the business by 40%. She has also served as Acting CEO.

Rebecca has more than 17 years of experience in the housing sector, working in senior policy, strategy and program roles in the NSW Government. Rebecca brings to the CEO role strong industry networks and is currently a member of the board of the Community Housing Industry Association in NSW.

"We are very pleased to appoint Rebecca as CEO. Rebecca has the skills and passion that the organisation needs to take our vision forward," said Bridge Housing Chairman, Mark Turner.
"Rebecca's leadership, drive and experience are going to be invaluable to Bridge Housing as the organisation continues to lead the way in service excellence and pursues opportunities to grow further in the future," said Mr Turner.

"I'm delighted to be taking on this new challenge and I’m really excited to be leading Bridge Housing through its next phase of growth. I firmly believe that quality affordable housing is fundamental in transforming people’s lives for the better. I look forward to working with the Board, our strong and capable team, our tenants and other stakeholders to deliver an exciting next chapter for the organisation," said Rebecca Pinkstone.

"It's been a pleasure working with John for the past eight years, and I look forward to continuing and building on his legacy to deliver more homes and better services for our tenants," said Ms Pinkstone.

As previously announced, outgoing CEO John Nicolades will remain at Bridge Housing during the leadership transition period until Rebecca's official commencement as CEO on 5th October, in order to enable a smooth handover.
