Bridge Housing is excited to launch our new Building Bridges 2021-2024 Tenant Participation and Community Engagement Strategy!

This strategy guides our approach to creating opportunities for tenants to be involved, have a real say and to be a part of decision-making about their homes and lives. It builds on our overall strategic plan as well as the achievements and learning of our previous tenant engagement strategy, to help drive positive change in the communities where we work.

The new Building Bridges strategy was developed with the help of 55 tenants at three workshops earlier this year, as well as incorporating staff and other stakeholder input.

The strategy sets out how Bridge Housing will engage with tenants and the community over the next three years and identifies four key focus areas, which are:

  • connecting neighbours and communities;
  • influencing our service design and delivery;
  • supporting thriving tenancies; and
  • celebrating the strength and resilience of social and affordable housing communities.

We were delighted to be able to launch the strategy in our first face-to-face tenant meeting for many months, catching up with the Tenant Reference Group, which is comprised of tenant leaders from across our portfolio.

“Thank you to all the tenants who have generously contributed their time and effort to contribute ideas and feedback for this new strategy,” said Sustainable Communities Manager, Sarah Barclay.

“We truly appreciate your input and we look forward to working with you to bring this strategy to life over the next three years.”
