Bridge embarks on new venture into supported disability housing
Wed 20, Dec 2017
Bridge Housing will provide Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA), including tenancy management and property management services, for 28 group homes across north west Sydney.
We are actively working with our transfer partner, Achieve Australia (the SIL provider), to achieve a seamless transition from 22 February 2018.
The move from large residential centres to small group homes in the community is a significant step towards independent living.
CEO John Nicolades said: "Bridge Housing is pleased to play a key part in assisting people with high and complex needs to live more independently in the community. We are looking forward to working in partnership with tenants, families and Achieve Australia staff to ensure we deliver a quality service."
Bridge Housing has devised award-winning new initiatives and has a strong track record in supporting people with disabilities to live independently in the community.
Over 29% of our current tenants have a disability and we work with a small number of high quality disability support services to ensure our tenants have the services they need when they need them. We are pleased to be able to build on our skills and experience and extend this through our partnership with Achieve Australia.
