Recently endorsed by Reconciliation Australia, the plan has been developed through an extensive engagement process with our Aboriginal tenants, Bridge Housing staff, the broader tenant community and local Aboriginal organisations. It has been a collaborative process, with workshops to develop our vision for reconciliation and the range of practical strategies we will undertake over the next two years of the Plan.

The Plan commits to a number of actions that practically promote inclusion and opportunities for Aboriginal people and their communities through the work we do as a community housing provider – in our service delivery with applicants and tenants, in the way we procure services and in the way we employ and support staff.

It was launched on 15 March 2017 at the Redfern Community Centre by Bridge Housing with our Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Tenant Advisory Group.
