No hot water

  • Are you up to date with payments to the energy supplier?
  • If your heating is electric, check the fuse box to see if the fuse has blown. You may need to flick the switch back on to make the system work.
  • If your heating is gas, check if the pilot light has gone out. If so, follow the instructions on the boiler to relight it.

If you still need assistance please report a repair.

No power

  • Are you up to date with payments to the electricity company?
  • Is it one appliance that isn’t working? Try the appliance in another socket, or try something else in the socket to make sure it’s not the appliance itself that is faulty.
  • If it’s a light that’s not working, check whether lights in other rooms work – it may be that the light bulb has blown and needs to be replaced.
  • If you have no power at all through the house, check with a neighbour to see if theirs is on – it might be that the whole building or street is affected.

If you still need assistance please report a repair.

Poor TV reception

  • If you are watching TV via an antenna, you may need at times to retune your equipment to keep receiving all the digital TV channels.
  • Some equipment will automatically detect changes to the TV channels and retune itself or it may prompt you to retune. The instructions below are for general retuning. Menu descriptions and labels may vary depending on your equipment. For detailed retuning instructions, see your manufacturer's handbook or call the Digital Ready Information Line on 1800 20 10 13, 8am to 10pm (AEDT), 7 days.
  1. Start by pressing the MENU button on the remote control for your digital TV, set-top-box or digital TV recorder, then
  2. Look for your 'set-up' options, then
  3. Try to select words like 'channels' or 'auto-tuning'. A scanning bar may appear when retuning. When the scan has finished you should now receive all the digital TV channels.

Communal washing machine not working

  • Is the washing machine switched on at the socket? Is the socket definitely working?
  • Are the washing machine taps turned on at the wall?
  • Is the door closed properly?
  • If the machine has stopped halfway through a cycle, make sure it’s not overloaded or out of balance: rearrange items evenly in the drum before restarting.

If you still need assistance please report a repair.
