The Golden Oldies Program funded by Department of Communities and Justice, offers older social housing tenants the opportunity to participate in a range of recreational activities, including gentle exercise classes, chair yoga, board game nights and day trips, in order to connect with each other and build relationships.


This program targets the following priority groups

  • Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people aged 50 years and over
  • Seniors 60 years and over from culturally and linguistically diverse (CaLD) backgrounds
  • Seniors 60 years and over living with disability, dementia, chronic disease or mental illness

What is on offer in Round 1?

  • 2 x Gentle Exercise classes per week for 10 weeks starting 12th July
  • 2 x Chair Yoga Classes per week for 10 weeks starting 12th July

Also on offer:

  • Drop-in social and games nights for ALL the tenant community
  • 4 Day Trips to be held in the warmer months
