Bridge Housing seeks to work with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander tenants to:
- Improve Bridge services for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people
- Ensure that we are a welcoming, culturally appropriate and fully accessible service for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander tenants, applicants, their families and household members.
The Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Tenants Advisory Group is a group that meets every two months to talk about issues and how we might put good ideas into action. All Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander tenants or household members are welcome to come along.
The group has given input for the Reconciliation Action Plan, on customer service issues and information resources for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander tenants at Bridge Housing and helped us plan NAIDOC Week celebrations.
