Bridge Housing’s A Bridge to Work employment program is set to reach or even exceed 80 engagements and 40 placements ahead of our September 30 target.

With the program achieving 76 engagements and 37 placements by mid-August, Employment Support Coordinator Gavin Marks is quietly confident the target will be reached ahead of schedule.

Since the employment program for Bridge residents began in July 2018, referrals have led to 27 employment placements and 10 to full-time study outcomes.

Gavin said: “National Skills Week is a great time to reflect on what we’ve achieved and to affirm that this model of intensive case management can and does work to support people disadvantaged in the employment market into work.”

Bridge Housing works in partnership with disability employment service CoAct to source and support job and study opportunities for our residents.
