When Bridge Housing appointed Holli Wheeler to the permanent role of Housing Manager North this month, they signed up a girl with talent.

The newcomer to the Brookvale team is also a new North Sydney Bears rugby league recruit in the Harvey Normans Women’s Competition coming over from CRL Newcastle. “I love the sport. I play it, watch it, live it and breathe it!” she says.

She also comes to her new role at Bridge with 11 years’ property management experience at a private real estate agency on the Mid North Coast and working with FACS (now Department of Communities and Justice) on the Social Housing Management Transfer Program in Newcastle.

“I really love the benefits Bridge Housing offers employees, such as the salary sacrifice program, wellness calendar initiative, three days gifted leave over Christmas. It’s the small gestures that Bridge Housing provide their staff with that make you feel appreciated and rewarded.”

“The work has opened by eyes to the struggles some people have in finding and sustaining tenancies and I know at Bridge we’re trying to make a real difference to them,” Holli said.
