Bridge Housing’s Northern Beaches case coordination partnership has helped rough sleepers experiencing long-term homelessness in the region into housing and support services since May this year. Among the successful outcomes are:

  • 38 people now have a secure, permanent home
  • 1,582 nights in safe temporary accommodations have been arranged
  • 86 homeless people are under case management
  • 61 people have secured temporary accommodation
  • 10 people have accessed crisis accommodation
  • 34 people have been housed in social housing
  • 4 people have secured private rental housing.

Bridge Housing has developed a specialist expertise in housing people experiencing or at risk of homelessness through our Platform 70, STEP to Home and Together Home programs.

We are working in partnership with other local organisations to end homelessness on the Northern Beaches. A February Street Count identified 71 rough sleepers in public areas on the Northern Beaches.

Thank you Northern Beaches Council, Mission Australia, Community Northern Beaches and the Bridge Housing Pathways Team: what a great team effort!
